Take the First Step to Help.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, experienced in providing individual and family counseling. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am experienced with anxiety, depression, relationship/marital difficulties, grief & loss difficulties, parental separation/divorce, trauma/PTSD, suicidal ideation/self-harm, social phobias, peer relationship and social skills difficulties.
I use an integrative approach, however specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy techniques to guide clients through their difficulties. With the client, I develop an individualized treatment plan to help them construct solutions and develop effective coping skills. I believe people have the ability to overcome problems when provided a safe helping environment to grow the necessary skills for change.
I believe a strong working relationship between client and counselor allows for trust and healing. I am a retired soldier and a military spouse and have seen resiliency at work and believe it resides in everyone.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor; dedicated, authentic, and passionate professional who believes in the healing power of connection, change, and individual empowerment. I practice Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Emotion Efficacy Therapy (EET), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). My approach to counseling is largely based on the experiential practice of reducing the reliance on unhelpful efforts to control, resist, or avoid our human experiences and move toward a place of attunement, compassion, and engaging in behaviors that matter, even during times of pain and distress.
Working with me, you can expect to develop a different way of relating to thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that promote psychological/behavioral flexibility, connection to self and others, and resilience. My priority is to always work to create a safe, compassionate, empathic, authentic, confidential, and collaborative space where clients are encouraged to take the time they need for themselves.
I am experienced in providing individual, couples, and group therapy for adolescents and adults, addressing depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, self-esteem/negative thoughts about and towards self, eating disorders/body image, transition/adjustment issues, prenatal/perinatal/postpartum mental health issues, trauma, mood disorders, substance use, domestic violence, anger management, obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic stress, and relational issues, and grief and loss.
